Best Foods to Eat to Lose Weight
While taking vitamins my health improved a bit. I was still in the process of deciding if this supplement that I was trying was working for me. I shed a few pounds, which was great. Sadly, then came the pandemic.
Fast forward to 2020, and I am now working from home because of the virus. The worry added stress and anxiety that slowly affected my motivation. I knew I wanted to try out the diet my daughter successfully lost weight with, but I didn’t have enough time to cook or plan my meals. So, time dragged on. I had not lost enough to help some still persistent pains in my waist area that continued and even intensified. I got to the point I had it and knew there was nothing else to do. I was holding myself back, and it was time to take back control.
Finally, around mid-year, I got serious about what I was eating again. I had changed my foods from rice and bread to more vegetables. I also resumed drinking more teas with 0 calorie sugar. I started research on that diet my daughter followed to shed some pounds. Seeing and experiencing feeling better on vegetables and proteins and low to no sugar, and how much it helped reduce inflammation, I felt I was in an excellent place to give that diet a try. It seemed very similar to what I was already doing, so I didn’t feel I had anything to lose. But first, I would ensure I understood what it was.
To begin with, it carried an unusual name, Keto. I embarked on an educational learning spree. This is what I learned about the Keto Diet, also known as the Ketogenic Diet.
What is the Keto Diet?
According to the Merk Manual, Medline Plus, the Keto (ketosis) diet mobilizes fat as a source of energy by the restriction of the consumption of carbohydrates. A person consumes calories by eating protein, fats and limited amounts of fruits and vegetables. Carbohydrates are restricted to 50 grams a day. This will cause your body to run out of fuel (blood sugar) it can use quickly. This would take roughly 3 to 4 days. Then you will start to break down protein and fat for energy, which can make you lose weight. This is called ketosis.
I began following this diet but still noticed I did not lose much and, in fact, also experienced episodes when it appeared that I was gaining again. I saw a yo-yo effect for a while. I had begun exercising and stuck to it but felt I needed something else to succeed at it. If you know about age and health, you probably know that after 40, many women have much difficulty losing weight. I was not the exception to that rule. Now at 49 years old, I knew I was not going to lose it as quickly. I did not let that discourage me and continued my educational journey on what else I could do to reach ketosis.
Getting to Ketosis – Back to Supplements
My research led me to another exciting find. I had given up on the previous supplements because I had lost my motivation. Still, I knew I needed that calcium supplementation and wanted to see what it did for me. I resumed taking the Meticore supplement while I learned more about ketosis. And then, I found that supplements are also available to aid in reaching ketosis.
As I learned more of them, I found that they too contain similar ingredients to the metabolism supercharging supplement. So, I decided to give it a try. I planned to finish the one bottle of the metabolism supercharging supplement first. I needed to be serious with it and stick to it to see the results. Then I would try the second one to see if I could reach ketosis. I followed the Keto Diet and took the Meticore supplement for one month, and the results were amazing!
The Breakthrough – Finally Shed Some Pounds
Within a week, I had lost two pounds. Week two passed, and I recheck the scale, and sure enough, another two pounds. Wow! It is working, I thought. Now, I had lost six pounds in three weeks. That is the most weight I have lost in years, even with strenuous exercise.
After years of trying, I finally found something that works. I am now at five weeks and finished one bottle made to last one month, and I have lost a total of ten pounds. My jeans fit better, my work trousers are looser, my belly has gone down by one inch, and I feel better than ever.
My back and waist pains have subsided, I wake up earlier in the morning happier and with more energy, and I could not ask for anything more than these fantastic results.
For me, it is only the beginning. Now, remember this happened as I simultaneously followed the Keto Diet. I found the diet was a good one. Still, I had only jumped one hurdle. My goals were to lose 30 pounds if I could. Now it was time to try the next supplement, which would help me reach ketosis quicker. The result would prove even more satisfying.
Keto Diet and Keto Supplements – Marriage Made to Work 
As I continued following the Keto Diet, I integrated that supplement – Keto Advanced Weight Loss, to aid with reaching ketosis. I actively paid attention to myself and my body to see if I experienced any strange effects or allergies. It felt as if I was taking the same Meticore metabolism supplement. I did not notice any abnormal reactions.
The first week, all went well, and I lost another two pounds. Then came the second week and another two pounds. Yesss! I exclaimed I am doing it! It was happening. Finally, the weight kept coming off.
By the fourth week of the month, I had lost another ten pounds. It was the best feeling of accomplishment I had ever experienced. I had accomplished with these two items what I longed for so long. I was about to cross the finish line. I hope to lose ten more in the next month. Even if I don’t, I already feel I have accomplished part of my goal, and I am comfortable enough to surpass the depressive feelings that I was experiencing before and for the past two years. It has proven to me that we can lose weight after 40, and you can reach your goals if you work for it, and of course, a little help from a product that works.
